My mom and Joe are up for the next couple of days...so the Fox Travel Team is back in action! Today, we decided to head up to Snohomish to do some antique shopping! I didn't find anything I couldn't live without...I am currently in search of an old piano bench and square coffee table that I can strip and refinish! I guess with the new house, I am looking for projects! Well, I came away empty handed today....but there is always tomorrow! For lunch we headed over to Chuck's Seafood Grotto...from the outside it looks like an old gas station, but the best eats are usually in the most unusual places....and this place did not disappoint! The food was soooo yummy! Shawn has been wanting to try this place...so there was a little part of me that wanted to give him a call and have him guess where I was eating, but I resisted.....instead we brought him a cup of clam chowder....I think that was probably a better decision! We are heading down to Snoqualmie Falls tomorrow after both of the boys are out of school!! It is supposed to be another sunshiney beautiful day....better soak it up before it's gone!!

It's A Baseball Crazy Week!!
We have had 2 Red Sox games so far this week, with one more on Saturday morning! Gabe had a pretty good game on Tuesday night with 3 solid hits, scoring off of 2! He played 2nd base, catcher and center field, with a couple of close outs on 2nd! The Red Sox won 9-5! Tonight the Red Sox played the Dodgers....Gabe played pretty well in the field, but had some trouble at bat. He had one good hit scoring in that inning, but came up striking at his other 2 at bats! He played 1st base, pitcher, short stop, and right field. He had a really good inning at pitcher..that position definitely sees the most action...he had a close out at 1st as well! The final score was 25-0, Red Sox the winner, but it is not the way you like to see your team win....we've all been there and would have much rather have seen a good game! We are looking at another beautiful weekend for baseball....keep your fingers crossed for Gabe to have better luck at bat! GO RED SOX!
Gymnastic Fantastic!
Tuesday morning Grady had his last morning gymnastics session! They had a wrap-up of everything they had learned....his favorite by far was the bars! Coach Brittany also helped Grady with his cartwheel...showing him how to do it left handed! I am not a gymnast...I can't do a somersault without pulling something much less a cartwheel, so it never dawned on me he should be doing it left handed! He is doing much better now...he's almost got the cartwheel down! He will start next Tuesday in the evening session...he will have a different Coach which he is a little bummed about, but I'm sure he will be just as crazy about the next one in no time!! Happy Flipping!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
I'll just say it...I am a spoiled rotten brat! Can I just say, that I absolutely LOVE all three of my fellas! We actually celebrated a Mom's Weekend....I was the star all weekend!! On Saturday we headed out to MOR Furniture for my Mom's Day gift---I don't usually get furniture (that is usually a little out of the budget for Mother's Day!), but in light of signing on the house on Friday....when asked what I wanted I said, "furniture!" I found exactly what I had pictured...after walking around the store twice... this place was huge, but the fact they had popcorn, soda and cookies, kept my guys interested in walking around and around! It is completely in left field of what I would usually pick, but something about it was just right! It won't actually come for 3 weeks, so the boys and I lounged out on it for some pics, so I wouldn't forget what it looked like!!

Red Sox VS. Phillies!
Play It Boyfriend!
Thursday night, Gabe had his Spring Concert! He played the xylophone for 6 songs, the recorder for 9 songs, and then sang a ton of different songs! The kiddos that completed the "Recorder Karate", it's basically a test of 9 songs, of which they practice, memorize, perform for the class and teacher, pass and then receive a different colored belt, where chosen to play the xylophones as a reward for completing the assignment. Well Gabe was one of those kids....he did an amazing job playing all of those songs from memory..impressive! He also sang with the choir, a group of 20+ 3rd graders....again, those kids for their age, sounded fabulous!! They performed one of their songs in three part harmony...very impressive!! Way To Go Gabe....you sounded GREAT!
This is the 3rd grade choir...not everyone is in this. This group of kids have volunteered their time (2 recess per week) to work on their vocals. They then go out into the community and sing....I've blogged a couple of these. This was the part of the performance where the kids sang in three part harmony....I've heard high school vocalists that didn't sound this good!

It's All In One Today Folks!!
Well, life around the Fox house has proved over the last few weeks to be beyond crazy....sometimes I look at our calendar and think if I just toss it, I may have a free moment to sit and do NOTHING!! But, something in me just won't let that happen so, we continue to run around like chickens with our heads cut off....from one event to the next, grabbing phone calls, emails, and texts in between....oh, yeah and from time to time we sit down and eat and occasionally catch some shut eye! I guess somewhere along the way my 3-year vacation has been thrown out the window....welcome to our crazy life! But, all of you know me well enough to know that I wouldn't honestly be happy sitting still...I think I secretly thrive on the busy life!!
I know it may sound like I am whining and complaining....but I think it's the clouds and cold talking....the calendar says May, but somehow Washington has missed the memo. The last few weeks have been extremely rainy and pretty chilly, as far as May goes.....and of course it doesn't help all of you Kansas folk that talk about the 80's!! Oh, I can't wait to be in Kansas again...where it's warm...I may not even complain too much the first 100 degree, 100% humidity day I'm there! Well enough of the whining.....Grady had gymnastics on Tuesday morning!! He practiced cartwheels, bars, and handstands. They also practiced some techniques for the vault....running, jumping, etc! It is really fun to watch him.....he is very balanced and listens to Coach Brittany with such intrigue! Next week is the last class in this session...we are then going to sign him up for an evening class, so Gabe and Shawn can see the little gymnast in action!!!
Tonight the Red Sox played the Padres!! The Red Sox won 5-0....it was a pretty uneventful game...which I was secretly happy for...I was the scorekeeper (the regular gal is gone this week), so the slower the game, the easier it is for me to keep up! Gabe had 2 good hits, scoring off of one! He played outfield, catcher and 1st base tonight.....I do not like him playing catcher! The whole time I was worried he was getting too close....he has all sorts of gear on, but I really doubt that gear will have much effect on the metal bat being swung inches from his head! He really didn't see much action at first or outfield...I think the other team only had 4 total hits the ENTIRE game...scoring on zero! I am hoping for a little more exciting game on Saturday...although not to exciting---I am after all the scorekeeper again!!! GO RED SOX!!!!

Yes, I Still Exist!
So, recently we have been receiving complaints that there have not been any photos of me....don't worry I still exist...there is nothing wrong with me....I'm not trying to hide anything---I just happen to like being behind the camera, instead of in front of it!! I also am the sole blogger, so that also lends privileges to picking which photos make the blog!!! So, here is a picture of me stuffing my face at the Swedish Pancake Breakfast we attended on Sunday with Nate!! YUM GOOD!
A Sox Match Up!
Last soggy Saturday, Gabe's Red Sox team had a match up with the White Sox! I'm sorry, but there are not any action shots from that game...I was busy videoing the game for Shawn! Fortunately, thanks to the extra soggy weather, Saturday's game was the only one Shawn missed....and that I had to tape! I think videoing was my least favorite single mom duty I had all last week while Shawn was gone....I didn't mind any of the other "chores", but that videoing is for the birds...I must suffer from ADD, or something...half of the time, I am recording the clouds, some other kid, or my personal fave...the lens cap..geesh! Anywho...Gabe had a tough game, he struck out twice, but after switching bats, he was able to get ahold of one for a hit! He did pretty well at second and third....it was just so rainy and cold! The Red Sox did come out with the win....9-7...it was a close game, but I think if it had been sunny and warm, it may have been an even better game! We have another game on Wednesday...GO RED SOX!!!
Grady's Spring Sing!
Thursday night, Grady's preschool class had their Spring Sing! They sang several songs...all of which were videoed by Gabe if you would ever love to hear them! The kiddos performed beautifully...there are few sounds that I enjoy more than hearing around 50 4-year-olds belting out the songs they have so diligently been practicing...priceless! They performed "Jesus Loves Me", "Hippopotamus", "Dig, Down Deep", "ABC Aerobics", and "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands"! I think the Hippo song was my personal favorite....it is about God creating all of the world...going through the days and what he created that day....well, when they got to the animals...they went through different animals that were created and then all at once they started stomping like we were in the middle of a stampede of hippos...cute!
